  OTHER TYPES OF SUPPORT

There are times when financial contribution just isn’t feasible but that doesn’t mean that supporting CCEF is out of the question. Just the opposite! There are many roles that you could fill to influence and support the work that CCEF does. You could:

PRAY FOR

Resources – that God would provide all the necessary funds so that our schools have high quality curriculum materials which present a clear Christian perspective.

Authors of the curricula – for wisdom and creativity to present the truths of God’s world in ways that student readily grasp and embrace.

Students – that they develop the mind of Christ and a Christian worldview; for teachable, compassionate spirits and discernment to make wise choices as they are in the world but not of the world.

Teachers – for joy in the journey, for vision to clearly see the image of God in each child, for strength and wisdom as they interact with the next generation as they tell them the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.

Administrators and school board leaders – for humility, discernment and insight as they lead the school in paths of righteousness.

School communities – that they would model Christ’s love for one another as they grow in grace and truth together.

Be a CCEF liaison for your local church.
Would you speak about CCEF to your congregation on the Sunday that a designated offering is taken for the work of CCEF? We will provide you with a short pulpit announcement about the work that CCEF is currently funding, so you keep the congregation informed. Contact Barbara in our office for more information.

Organize a special offering.
If your church doesn’t already take an offering designated for CCEF, would you approach your church leadership to request that such an offering be taken? CCEF is an approved cause of the CRC (Christian Reformed Church) denomination for offerings. Congregations from other denominations also support our work. Perhaps your church leadership would be open to this, too. Direct your church leadership to our website, or contact our office for more information on CCEF.

Host a small group gathering to hear more about CCEF’s work. Contact our President, Menno Eelkema or Barbara in our office to arrange for a CCEF board member to join you and your group to discuss the work of our organization and the Christian curriculum that is developed through the funding we provide.

For more information on options for non-financial support, contact our foundation office at office@canadianchristianeducation.org.
